Realm of New Zealand was created in 1983.

Well, New Zealand itself and its associated islands are all in the Pacific, as are Auckland, Campbell, Scott islands, and Antipodes Islands also.

But in the north of New Zealand, occupied/settled islands would include the Cook Islands, Tokelau, and Niue, which are within the Realm of New Zealand.

• Realm has more than one meaning.
• It means:
  • an area of activity, interest, or knowledge; or
  • a country that is ruled by a king or queen
  • a community or territory over which a sovereign rules;
  • a kingdom
• The so called Commonwealth realm combines mainly: United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and Jamaica.

New Zealand and Australia have distinct currencies. Australia has the Australian Dollar and New Zealand has the New Zealand Dollar. They are not interchangeable or usable in both countries and they have differing values.

The Lord of the Rings films were filmed entirely in New Zealand.
