Banking Dictionary: Regional Bank

Bank whose primary business is making loans to customers in a regional or metropolitan area and taking deposits within the state where it is chartered. A regional bank has a broader market focus than a Community Bank, but smaller than a Money Center Bank. See also Super-Regional Bank.
