CNA stands for certified network associate. This is an information technology certification that involves extensive training and hands on experience in designing and configuring IT networks, using hardware from Cisco.

4. How a nursing assistant can effectively communicate with doctors, nurses, and patients
5. How a nursing assistant maintains a safe environment for the resident and other hospital staff.
6. The general principles and practice of infection control
7. Basic emergency care
8. Application and principles of basic nutrition to resident/patient care
9. Patient personal care and grooming
10. Measurement of vital signs
11. Caring for cognitively impaired patients
12. Identification of the function, structure, common health problems and normal aging changes of different body systems.
13. Patient comfort and rest
14. How to assist in diagnostic tests
15. How to care for the peri-operative resident and/or resident with special needs
16. Admission/Transfer/Discharge of the resident
17. Care for residents and family when death is imminent
