Rumble Roses XX (pronounced Rumble Roses Double X) is a female fighting game that was developed by YUKE's Future Media Creators and Konami for the Xbox 360 and is the sequel to the PlayStation 2 game, Rumble Roses. The game was released by Konami in North America on March 28, 2006 and in Japan on March 30.

Characters

The game features a "face/heel" system, the "face" characters being "good girls" and the "heel" characters being "bad girls." Each character has both a "face" and a "heel" version. The game re-casts all the wrestlers from the original Rumble Roses, although some of the names have changed since then (the bold/highlighted name is the default form for that character):

Hidden characters

Two hidden characters are available in Exhibition and Online modes. Sebastian (Mistress's "slave") and Non-Non (Black Belt Demon's bear). Both can be picked by holding down the LT while selecting their respective girls. Non-Non also has a "panda" version (renamed, Panda) available in the alternate costumes.

Gameplay

With the exception of a simple street fighting mode, the bulk of the gameplay focuses on matches which take place in various locales. Matches can be between individual wrestlers, between tag teams of two wrestlers each, or between a wrestler and a team (a more difficult handicap match).

Matches are won either through pinning an opponent or forcing the opponent to tap out with a submission move. Players can break free of these through rapid button presses, although as wrestlers suffer more damage (both overall and to specific body parts), this becomes more difficult.

The general game mechanics involve striking and grappling with foes to inflict damage upon different body parts. As successful strikes and grapples are performed, players fill a finishing move gauge which can be expended to activate special moves. Attacks can also be countered with the correct timing, resulting in humiliation for the opposing character. When humiliation builds up to a certain level, wrestlers become vulnerable to special "H-Moves", which have a high probability of inflicting a knockout. Humiliating other characters also results in the release of pink gas from the character's rear end. Other special moves activated via the filled gauges include "Killer Moves" and "Lethal Moves", which differ for each wrestler.

Features

Rumble Roses XX supports online Xbox Live gameplay for up to four players, playing as a team or against each other. The online content also allows the player to upload or download images from the game's photo shoot mode.

A wide array of character customization options are available from within the Career Mode. These include various unlockable costumes and swimsuits, as well as adjustable sliders which can be used to increase or decrease body and muscle attributes.

The game also includes a Tag Team mode were two players can partake in a tag match. Whenever two specific wrestlers are teamed up, they will have their own special team intro, team name, tag-out sequence, Special Double X move and a special victory pose.

Gamesaving

Rumble Roses XX is one of the most commonly gamesaved titles on the Xbox 360. The game takes a mimimum of 300 hours to complete and due to the title's monotonous gameplay, this is a feat rarely accomplished by legitimate means. Most Xbox 360 gamertags with 1000 gamerscore in Rumble Roses XX used a strategy called gamesaving (downloading another gamer's saved game) to complete this title.

The easiest way to determine whether a gamer with 1000 gamerscore in Rumble Roses XX did so by legitimate means is to look at the date stamps on each achievement. If most or all of the achievements were unlocked offline then the player most likely downloaded another gamer's saved game.

• Lady X Substance's alter ego is Lady X: Subsistence (and nicknamed "The Metal Gear"). This is a reference to Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. (Which featured Reiko and Rowdy Reiko in its online mode.)
• Also, are two unlockable costumes from Metal Gear Solid series, which is olga's suit from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty in the tanker chapter, and Eva's gear from Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
• Candy Cane's band, The Killer Bambies, is based on (and uses music by) The Killer Barbies, a real punk band.
• An art book, featuring portraits of the characters, artwork and digital models was released in Japan, proclaiming it 'The most Beautiful Wrestling game ever'.
