Many dogs have been to space. The Soviets sent a total of 13
dogs into space between 1957 and 1966.

The first astronaut was a Russian dog named Laika, so dogs are at least explorers of space. She eventually died during the flight, though, so we probably can't say she liked space, or at least space travel.

Only one dog has died in orbital space, which was Laika, the
Russian husky mix. She died from lack of oxygen after three days in
orbit.
