Peter the Great fought the Ottoman Empire in two wars. The first was the Russo-Turkish War of 1686-1700, which was a Russian victory securing areas in the southern Ukraine. The second was the Pruth River Campaign from 1710-1711 and was an Ottoman victory that saw the return of some territory to the Ottomans along with political concessions.
