This is question is in reference to the book "The story of Little Black Sambo" which was written by Helen Bannerman and published in 1899.
After this book was released the name 'Sambo' was used as a racial slur. this answer does not represent or endorse that misuse of the name.
In the story an Indian boy called 'Sambo' was challeneged by four hungry tigers who wanted to eat him. He eventually tricks them into running around a tree until they turned into melted butter. Sambo then used the butter to make a pancake.
