I can tell you about the South Korean foods - most commonly heard of is "kimchi" which is the most essential side dish of any meal.

Then there is kimbap (like sushi)

and Bibimbap (mixed rice,vegetables,beef)

samgyupsal (grilled pork strips)

galbi (bbq beaf)

for noodles there's cold noodles (nengmyun) , the most common one (snack) is Ramyun or known as "Ramen" in North America and then there's Jajjangmyun (which is black bean paste noodles)

there's also Korean pancakes (pajeon) it's made out of scallion and other vegetables. It's nothing like the regular pancakes, its salty but very very tasty!

for soups, there is Kimchi Chigae which is a really spicy kimchi soup

There's also dukkbokki which is a famous rice cake food (very spicy) and is usually sold on street vendors.

These are only some of the most common foods. For more, you should search korean food recipes and I'm sure you'll find many more delicious foods!
Rice/noodles, kim-chi (a fermented vegetable commonly made of types of cabbage but also made from many other vegetables and traditionally placed in a pot in the earth to ferment for some months, commonly over winter), and meat; in that order.

Korean food is not known for its spice (at least amongst other east and south east asians) but westerners might disagree.

My Korean colleagues always insist I not continue eating Korean side dishes after my rice bowl is empty as they explain that Korea's love affair with red pepper sauce ( cayenne ) makes most Korean food very spicy and should not be eaten without rice ( bland taste ) to dilute its spiceness and avoid stomach problems.
