- 06 = +60 6 = Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Muar, Johor
- 07 = +60 7 = Johor
- 09 = +60 9 = Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu
- 082 = +60 82 = Kuching, Sarawak
- 083 = +60 83 = Sri Aman, Sarawak
- 084 = +60 84 = Sarikei, Sibu, Kapit
- 085 = +60 85 = Lawas, Limbang, Miri
- 086 = +60 86 = Bintulu, Belaga
- 087 = +60 87 = Labuan and Interior Division, Sabah
- 088 = +60 88 = Kota Kinabalu, Kudat

There are other area codes for mobile phones, VoIP, and other services.
(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)
