Both Save and Save As appear in the file menu of all Microsoft
applications. There is a difference between the two. The very first
time you use Save on a new file, it will actually bring you to the
Save As option. Save As will save the current file after you've
given it a name, a location and a file type for it to be saved as.
After that, any time you choose Save, it will save that file with
the same name, into the same location and as the same type of file,
without asking you. If you want to save that file with a different
name or to a different place or as a different type, then you would
use Save As again, and you would be given the chance to use those
options.
