Traditional Catholics (read: pre-Vatican II) end Lent at noon on
Holy Saturday, when the First Mass of Easter is celebrated. The
priest wears white vestments (not purple), the Gloria is again
said, and the Alleluia is heard for the first time since
Septuagesima.
