The French composer, Hector Berlioz played guitar and not piano. This has been speculated by some to be the reason his music and his sense of rhythm were so different from other composers. The Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo played only the guitar, and wrote most of his music for guitars, although accompanied by orchestra.
