Do you mean 'Siberia'? Its basically the north part of Asia. Currently, and historically, Siberia is under Russian control.

If you mean the Siderian period, it was the first geologic period in the Paleoproterozoic Era and lasted from 2500 to 2300 million years ago.

The algae were the inventors of Photosynthesis, and the important part of this is the splitting of H2O into hydrogen and Oxygen. The Hydrogen is used by the plant to help build complex molecules; and the O2 is discharged as a waste gas.
