"Double Twist" is the name that originally was intended for the "Hart to Hart" television series of 1979-1984. Sidney Sheldon (February 11, 1917 - January 30, 2007), author and screenwriter, wanted the series to be about a married couple who also were spies. Ultimately, the original script was reworked by Tom Mankiewicz (June 1, 1942 - July 31, 2010). The title was finalized as "Hart to Hart" about a happy, successful husband-and-wife team that also enjoy going amateur sleuthing.
