Signoret, Simone (pseud. of Simone Kaminker) (1921-85). French film actress, the most famous of whose many parts was probably in Becker's Le Casque d'or. Married for many years to Yves Montand, she published a best-selling book of memoirs, La Nostalgie n'est plus ce qu'elle était (1976), and a novel, Adieu Volodya (1985).
