Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood (Hindi: सोनू सूद, Born: 22 May 1973 (age 36)) is an Indian actor who has acted in Hindi, Punjabi (1 film), Telugu and Tamil films. In Tollywood he is best known for his antagonist role in Arundhati film.

Personal life

• Sood hails from a Punjabi family. He was born Small Village in Moga Punjab. His father is a businessman and his mother Saroj Sood is a professor of English and History. He has two sisters.[1]
• Sood did his schooling in Punjab and later moved to Nagpur and successfully completed a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering.[2]
• In his final year of studying engineering at Nagpur, to South Extn Part One New Delhi Sood participated in the Grasim Mr. India contest, and made it to the top five.[3]
• Sood is happily married to Sonali and his son's name is Ishan.[4]
• Sood is a pure vegetarian.[5]

Career

In Tollywood His first fim in Telugu was "Amayalu-Abbaylu" in 2003. This film didn't fetch him any recognition. But with the release of Super in 2005, he got a good recognition. In this film he co-stars with Nagarjuna Akkineni as a Hitech thief; but the film didn't perform as expected. His next film was Athadu which was a super-hit but didn't help him in building up his image. In 2006 he again played as the antagonist in Ashok. It was an average grosser, but by now he became popular in Telugu films. It was Arundhati that took him to the greatest heights which he wouldn't even have imagined in a non-local industry. He played the role of a Aghora. This film turned out to be the biggest hit of the year. HE was even awarded the Nandi Award for the best Villain for this film. In later half of 2009 he acted in another Telugu film Ek Niranjan in which he again palyed as the antagonist. Though the film received mixed reviews, Sonu sood was praised critically for his portrayal of a sadistic villain. His histrionics and slang of mixing English dialogues with telugu in this film proved his worth.
