Atlin Lake is the largest natural body of water in British
Columbia
Williston Lake was created in 1968 by the building of the W.A.C.
Bennett Dam on the Peace River and is the largest body of water in
British Columbia. The basin of the upper Peace River backs into the
Rocky Mountain Trench; Parsnip and Finlay met at Finlay Forks to
form the Peace. At the lower part of the basins of these rivers it
covers 1,761 km (680 square miles), being the largest lake in
British Columbia.
