SRC Computers develops and sells supercomputing hardware and software. The company's MAP processing units, which can be configured in custom arrangements, are based on SRC's proprietary Direct Execution Logic processor. SRC packages MAP processors into clustered or switch-based configurations; the company also provides switches. SRC systems are used in bio-informatics, biometrics, energy research, geospatial mapping, image processing, intelligence gathering and analysis, military applications, and scientific research. Iconic supercomputer designer Seymour R. Cray founded SRC (which takes its name from his initials) in 1996, along with chairman D. James Guzy, CEO Jon Huppenthal, and VP Charles Breckenridge.

SRC Computers, Inc. is a privately owned company, established in 1996 in Colorado Springs, Colorado by Seymour Cray, shortly before his death on October 5, 1996 as a result of a car accident. It specializes in high-performance and reconfigurable computing. SRC has designed several massively parallel supercomputer models, including the SRC-5 (the model number following on from the Cray-4), SRC-6 and SRC-7.

In addition to its headquarters in Colorado Springs, SRC also maintains a software development facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
