Plot

In late January of 1958, 19-year-old Charles Starkweather was rebuffed by the stepfather and mother of his 14-year-old girlfriend Carol Fugate and he shot both parents through the head and then clubbed Carol's younger sister to death. After that, with Fugate in tow, he went on a three-day killing spree and murdered seven more people before the Wyoming police caught him on January 30th. He went to the electric chair in June of 1959 for these crimes. This fictionalized movie of the Starkweather murders shows "Richard Stark" (Russell Fast) meeting the young "Laura Ferguson" (Marcie Severson), and eventually committing the murders. There was also a 1973 version of the Starkweather killings, Badlands, by Terrence Malick. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
