Table Table is a brand of restaurants in the United Kingdom owned by Whitbread. They started as converted Brewers Fayre restaurants, usually next to a Premier Inn and the brand was launched in May 2008.
As of May 2008, there are 105 sites in locations such as Lockyers Quay, Plymouth in Devon, The French Connection in Ashford, Kent and the Halfway House in Dunstable. Whitbread is investing £1.15million in marketing after spending in excess of £40million in refurbishments. Research over a two year period found their customers wanted nicer environments, their own space and atmosphere, contemporary dining and a menu with a twist.
A substantial refurbishment program began at some sites (eg "Moseley Park" in Wolverhampton, the "Twigworth" in Gloucester, the "May Tree" in Helston and "The Newhouse" in Motherwell). These sites are intended to have a more upmarket feel. New sites have also been built, "Oswald's Cross" in Oswestry, Shropshire, for example and "Bluebricks" in Wolverhampton. The trend towards new build has replaced refurbishment as new sites are showing stronger converstion.
The restuarants offer a modern feel with some more unusual dishes to Brewers Fayre such as Duck Parcels, Monkfish and Wild Boar.
