Thomas Jefferson served as President of the United States during
March 4, 1801 - March 4, 1809. Ohio is the only state that was
admitted into the union during Jefferson's presidency. Ohio was
admitted into the Union on March 1, 1803 becoming the 17th state to
join the Union.
