The Three Laws of Motion:
1. An object at rest tends to stay at rest, unless acted upon by an outside force.
2. Force is proportional to mass times acceleration Alternatively, force is proportional to the time rate of change of momentum.
3. Whenever a first body exerts a force on a second body, the second body exerts a force on the first body. Both forces are equal in size and opposite in direction.
