Mauricio Macri became the President of Argentina on December 10.
De Kirchner was elected in 2007, and took the position as of Dec 11 of that year, serving until 2015 December 10. She won re-election in 2011.
Kirchner was the second female President of Argentina after Isabel Martínez de Perón, but the first elected female President. She succeeded her husband, Nestor Kirchner, the previous President of Argentina, who declined to run for re-election in 2007, and later passed away from heart-failure in 2010.
Macri became the President on 2015 December 10. Prior to this he was the Mayor of Buenos Aires for 8 years.
