Not many people know about the city of Townsville but they should. Townsville, in the state of Queensland is on the North-Eastern Coast of Australia. It is Australia’s largest urban centre of the Sunshine Coast.
Townsville hosts the Australian Festival of Chamber Music annually. For a ten day period during the month of July, international and Australian musicians gather and perform. Townsville also plays host for the Greek and Italian Festivals. Widely known because of it’s proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, Townsville has many attractions to entertain visitors. The Strand is a popular tourist attraction, luring visitors to it’s long tropical beach and garden strip. Magnetic Island which is a large island that houses a National Park, draws many visitors as well. There is no shortage of places to visit and things to see in the city of Townsville.
