Thought=Fundamental electrochemical desiquilibrium, that can be predicted like a geometric-quantic matrix that results from a certain biochemical pulsion who is intrinsicly spiritual, too. Yes, it will. 2023 is a bit early, the singularity itself should occur around 2045. humans tend to think of technological progress linearly. Until now, that has worked just fine, as we have been on the low end of the curve. But we are soon going to reach the second part of the curve, at which point technological progress will accelerate drastically. a word of warning: After this happens, purely biological humans will be able to have anything they want, save relevance. Computers will just be too smart. the philosophy of transhumanism basically amounts to: If you can't beat them, join them.

Well, this is according to _a_ allegedly scientificforecast. Scientists aren't generally very bright when it comes to foretelling future technological/societal development.

There are however, to answer your question, several related variants of that forecast that make the future look not quite as grim for mankind:

* Robots will all be programmed to serve humans above anything else (even their own survival) * Humans will themselves be implanted with microchips and/or genetically altered as to be just as high-performant as the robots * The human brain will itself be transferred onto a computer - thus we ourselves become robots. Your keyword is "transhumanism". Google it.
