Tripiṭaka Koreana

A Korean version of the Chinese Buddhist canon containing over 1,500 scriptures. The scriptures are carved on more than 81,000, wood blocks housed in the library of Haein Temple on Mt. Kaya near Taegu. The Tripiṭaka Koreana (Korean, Koryǒ Taejangkyong) dates to the 13th century and is based on earlier versions produced in the preceding centuries.
