aircraft through the air. It acts in a way similar to that of the
blade in a fan.

The worlds first Turboprop engine was designed in 1928 by a
mechanical engineer named Gyorgy Jendrassik. He patented the engine
in 1929 and in 1938 built a small scale prototype.
