Mandla Jarha
The Operations Manager and Executive Director of DL Contractors, Mr Jarha is a well rounded telecommunications specialist with solid experience in information and communication technology. He holds a National Diploma in Electronic Communication Engineering, majoring in Radio & Television Engineering, Data & Electronic Communications and Networking. To complement his technical expertise, Mr Jarha attended the Management Development Programme at the University of South Africa.
As former ICT Projects Manager for the KSD Local Municipality, he was responsible for strategic development, planning and deployment of deployment of new technologies such Promun, Website based systems, traffman, Local and Wide Area Networks, etc.
Mr Jarha has served the Local Government Information and Communication Technology Council as Vice Chairperson, primarily responsible for the development of GCN (Government Core Network/MPLS cloud) and technically advising the Ministry on technology related projects.
Mr Jarha has worked for a number of blue-chip companies such as Telkom SA, UUNET SA, Keady Tel and Vodacom SA. Through his experience, Mandla held a number of technical and management positions, from a Senior Technician responsible for Maintaining the Telkom Microwave Network, the Cordless telephone Version 2 (CT2) and DECT Network, to an IT Engineer supporting CISCO Systems to a Switch Commander Specialist in Research and Development overseeing the Operations Division conducting high level support for OMC, SC and EIR. His responsibilities at Vodacom SA included providing interface with SIEMENS, IT, Transmission, Customer Care, Billing & Admin, NMC, Inter carrier services and Operations.
