Possibly. It's unlikely that it was a Vedic\Aryan civilization.

Same relation as the relation between Christianity and the western civilization.

Or the Vedic dharma and the Hindu civilization.

While Islam has spread by invasion, force, and mass production of children and forcing Islam on the children, the Vedic dharma survives and spreads since millenniums by free will. 1000 years of Islamic onslaught could not kill this Vedic dharma.

There is more than one Vedic religion, which refers to religions that emerged in India. This would include Hinduism and Buddhism.

The earliest known civilization in India existed from about 2500â??1700 BCE. It was known as the Indus Valley Civilization. We didn't know of its existence until 1921.
