The narrow middle zone occurring between the two hemispheres of the cerebellum.

[L.] a worm, or wormlike structure.

  • v. cerebelli — the median part of the cerebellum, between the two hemispheres.
  • nodule of v. — the part of the vermis of the cerebellum, on the ventral surface, where the inferior medullary velum attaches.
