Victorianism refers to the characteristics, values, and social norms of the Victorian era in Britain, which lasted from 1837 to 1901 during the reign of Queen Victoria. It is often associated with strict moral codes, high social etiquette, industrial progress, and a focus on family values.

This era is important b/c of the various political theorists, darwinism, and great writers like george eliot and george bernard shaw.
