Vocalion

 

A type ofReed Organ, developed by James Baillie Hamilton in England in the 1880s in an attempt to combine the sounds of free reeds and strings. It produces a smoother, more powerful sound than the average reed organ and was popular in small churches in the late 19th century and early 20th.
