World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss think-tank composed of world experts, and business and political leaders who meet to find solutions to major global economic, political, and social problems. The WEF opines that progression to solving global problems is best achieved through the partnership of government and business.

Klaus Schwab created the WEF in 1971, initially as a European economics conference. The WEF holds its Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, at which world leaders engage in collaborative projects and set the global agenda for the year. The WEF also organizes regional summits and meetings at other locations throughout the year.
