A Wulver is part of Scottish myths and folklore. It has been described as having a man's body covered in bronze - brown hair with a wolf head. Wulvers were believed to be immortal but driven to extinction by villagers after rumors started claiming they were evil.

Wulvers became know as werewolves known as evil undead. The rumors were started by wealthy lords and religious leaders fearing immortal beings would diminish the "fight for religion" and threaten the power of reigning lords.

Wulvers were known to fish from "Wulver's Stane" a rock on the cliffs of the Shetland Islands. Any extra fish caught by the Wulver was left on the steps of poor people or people that had fall on hard times.
