Zoletil (Zolazepam + Tiletamine) its a combination of these 2 sedatives.

Tiletamine its a NMDA receptor agonist (just like ketamine or dextromethropam), acts by binding this receptor, not allowing the neurotransmitters Glycine and/or Glutamate, thus, leaving the NMDA channels open and decreasing the patient's consciousness state.

Zolazepam is a GABA recepor agonist; by binding into this channel it leaves it open, allowing the CNS to hyperpolarize thus inducing drowziness and sedation mainly

So basically its the action of both drugs mixed together. Its far better than using Diazepam along with Ketamine, zolazepam shown me a better response on not-lowering that much heart beat rate and breathing rate, while its less "traumatic" the awakening than using ketamine in animals.

Hope this worked out for you
