The community era of policing emphasizes building partnerships with the community and taking a proactive approach to preventing crime, which can enhance trust and collaboration. However, aspects of past eras, such as a focus on foot patrols and neighborhood engagement from the traditional era, could also be beneficial today by fostering stronger connections and visibility in communities. Incorporating successful elements from past eras while embracing the community policing model can create a well-rounded approach to law enforcement.

What is your overall opinion on the community era of policing as opposed to past eras and their role in society What aspects of the previous eras would be beneficial today Should policing continue wit?

Community policing of today is much improved and always adapting to stay ahead of the corrupt elements of society, ie. groups of street people would gather around the city hall, this intimidated many law abiding citizens, so in order not to disregard their rights there was a decision made by someone to play undesirable music at an elevated level, this tactic DID work very efectively, and no more has been heard of the problem for some time now. I assume they will be back with their blankets and pillows, but unless they like the music I would bet that they will move on to a more reasonable place. It's not that they wre bad, just intimidating. I would assume that this idea was discussed by a group made up to do better for the community, this is just one small but effective solution.
