One is mounted at the top-inboard(towards engine), And the other is outboard of the assembly. Once these two wingnuts are removed, carefully remove the who…le assembly. The headlight bulb is contained in the socket... one quarter turn counter-clockwise will remove the socket from the housing. ( Full Answer )

The thermostat is located at the driver side of the engine, under the air intake piping. All the intake stuff must be removed to get to the housing which has two bolts holding it in place. The lower bolt, located under the exhaust pipe, is a Bear to get at! Replace with an OEM part, as SOME of the g…eneric parts won't allow you to get the housing back on without removing the exhaust. Answer Follow the upper radiator hose toward the engine block, should be on the right side. There is an adaptor, if memory serves me, you have to remove the top screw and just loosen the bottom. The thermostat is in that adaptor. It is difficult to get to. It took me 4 hours to do that job. I too…k both bolts out just to get it past the crossover, and you first have to take off the thottle body and the breather tube....it also took me 4 hours the first time ( Full Answer )

Begin by draining the coolant. Next, you have to remove the exhaust crossover pipe that runs around the rear of the engine, just over the transmission. This will require tilting the engine forward so you can reach the bolts on the rear manifold. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat hou…sing and then remove the bolts. The thermostat is in the recess in the intake manifold. Reverse the process to re-assemble. This little job took me about 4 hours to do. Good Luck and God Bless. ( Full Answer )
The thermostat is blocked by the intake manifold. It's not an easy job and most likely your are trying to fix a temperature gauge the fluctuates. If that's true then you need head gaskets. The 3400 motor is known for them going and the first indications is the temp varying and missing coolant that h…as not leaked on the ground. ( Full Answer )

Batterie Killer . I am sure it is in the left rear quarter panel. Try looking there. I really hope ya find'er, kills batteries.. I just went through intsalling a stereo in my 96 Bronco, the amp is under the dashboard, to the right of the steering column. It is the small rectangular box closest t…o the firewall. I thought it was in the back too, since the wiring harness that Crutchfield gave me was long enough to reach back. After taking apart both rear quarter panels I called their tech support. Highly reccommend bypassing the factory amp with the plug-in harness. ( Full Answer )
Answer . I`m Almost Certain Your Question Is About The Radio. The Amps Right Channel & Left Channel Are Inside The Stereo. If You Are Trying To Increase You Sound Output Opt For An Aftermarket Stereo System. Good Luck. Some Ford cars and trucks ( I have a 1996 Bronco Full Size XLT) have a "prem…ium" stereo package that includes an external amp. The head unit does not actually drive the speakers. This amp is often in the rear of the car, try looking in the side panels towards the back. Or contact a Ford dealer and if they are nice they can look it up on microfilm. ( Full Answer )

Answer . Looking at the ( 3400 )engine from the front, you need to look underneath of the throttle body and its ducting.. It's not a fun thing to get at, but it's reasonable to get at when you take the time to block out the parts it is hidden under. The temperature sensor is right there as well.…. You won't hurt anything by removing the throttle body right back to the air cleaner housing, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE REASONABLY GENTLE WITH IT, because if you get too rough with it, you can do some damage. There are some wire plugs to disconnect with clips you spring away from the connectors, some hose clamps, and some rubber ducting to remove.. You might not want to remove the throttle body because you need to deal with the linkages as well.. Once you get all that out of the way, you'll be able to see a housing with a large radiator hose connected to it.. The thermostat is inside of that housing. It is a miserble thing to get your wrenches in to remove the housing with out removing the exhaust cross over pipe, but it is definitaly do-able, I didn't remove it.. As with any thermostat standing on its side as these are, you need to make sure it stays in place in the housing as you are reassembling it.. Other wise you can literally break the housing if it comes out of place.. If the bolts go in with out being forced, and the housing comes together smoothly, you have succeeded.. The net issue is that the thermostat is of course one with a special feature that the cheaper ones don't have. Once they have been over heated they will never close again. It's sort of like a fusable link that melts open.. I simply compared the physical characteristics of the $30.00 one and $16.00 ones and bought the cheap one.. I've driven that engine for many thousands of miles since with no ill effects. ( Full Answer )
