The lower radiator hose is the intake to the water pump, the coolant has already passed thru the radiator and has cooled down.
Bottom corner of the rad unless it's broken off. You can also remove the lower rad hose to drain it.

Lower right of the rad. sometimes it is easier to drain the rad by removing the lower rad hose.
On the lower right of the rad. Sometimes it is easier to remove the lower rad hose.
Follow the lower rad. hose. Its in there. Have to remove the rad.
Lower hose goes between rad and water pump !! KM
you unskrew the bolt @ the bottum of the rad and let it drain out then you stick a garden hose in the top of the rad then go to your facet and turn it on.
Look behind the rad. Follow the lower rad. hose, its behind the cover. Have to take off the rad. to service it.

There is a drain on the lower right of the rad. If you can't get to it, pull the lower hose.
Usually on the drivers side, bottom of rad. But, it will be easier to just remove the lower rad. hose.
On my 1995 Ford Explorer , 4.0L V6 , the lower rad hose goes from the radiator and connects to the water pump
