1600 1997 Astra 8v felt/sound like misfire and uneven engine running. changed plugs leads and fuel filter. One plug black others grey. Seems better still seems to run unevenenly and lag when u rev up?

The work you have already done should have cleared up a misfire.As one plug is still sooty,then you either have too much fuel in that cylinder,probably a faulty injector(if it's a multi-point type),or not enough air.If there is a hydraulic tappet fault,the inlet valve may not be opening enough. A compression check and a session on a diagnostic computer, should confirm one or the other to eliminate guesswork and unneccessary expense.
