I have had my hair colored since I was sixteen. I'd always had it professionally done, but had decided to do it myself due to a tight budget. Big mistake. I wanted a light brown color but somehow ended up with an almost coffee color, and it just didn't look right. In fact, it looked horrible. Panicked, I called my stylist at the 1604 Day Spa and Salon for help. My usual stylist was on vacation, but they were still able to get me in that same day with another stylist. I know mishaps like this happen a lot, but I was horrified that it happened to me. The stylist I saw was very sweet and assured me I was not the first person who had experienced a color problem. She talked with me about what I wanted my hair to look like and took the time to make sure we were both on the same page. After that, she began work on my hair. I have to admit, my hair was so dark I didn't think she would be able to help me out. Again I was wrong. By the time she had finished my hair was exactly how it should have been the first time. I was so relieved. The stylist then gave me some tips on hair coloring that I had never known before. Even though she gave me some advice, that was my last time attempting to color my own hair. I am leaving it to the professionals from here on out. In the end, I paid more to have my color mishap corrected than I would have if I'd gone to the salon to have it colored to begin with. Needless to say, I won't be making that mistake ever again. From now on, when it comes to coloring my hair or a haircut, I will be going to the 1604 Day Spa and Salon. I would rather pay the money and know that I'm going to leave happy than to save a buck and be frustrated.
