It's not clear what is meant by "silver nickel" If it refers to an American 5 cent coin, U.S. nickels were only ever made out of silver during WWII when nickel was an important military metal. All others are made of an alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel.

The 1918 Buffalo nickel is worth around $1 to $3 in circulated condition. If it is in mint state or has certain variations, it could be worth more to collectors. It's always recommended to have coins appraised by a professional to get an accurate value.
