It's really a Stevens model 94. Hercules was a Montgomery Ward brand name. Hercules was made by Iver Johnson from 1918-1943. I have a Montgomery Ward Hercules 16 ga. double. Does anyone know who made it. There are no brand or model numbers.SN X76777
1918 value depends on condition
I am pretty sure the Wards Westernfield Model 53 was made by Iver Johnson. Externally the Model 53 and Iver Johnson Hercules look identical. I believe the Iver Johnson Hercules was made from 1918 to 1936.
Your question cannot be answered without you providing the overall condition of the shotgun in question. Please include the amount of original finish remaining, bore condition, and the wood condition. Please provide a serial number to your shotgun because the first year of production of the 20 gauge auto-5 shotguns for Browning were in 1958.
There needs to be more detail - there are at least four guns you could be talking about and condition of the gun is critical. It could be a Champion Model 36, Champion model 39, or Champion model 39 - Junior, or Excel. Roughly $75 to $300.
most of the ones that I've seen are in the $250-500 range, depending on the condition.
