The U.S. has not used pewter (or any of its metallic relatives) in coins for about 175 years. All current silver-colored coins are made out of copper-nickel.
Assuming it's from circulation your coin is only worth face value.

The 1972 Eisenhower dollar coin was made of a copper-nickel composition and had a diameter of 38.1 mm (1.5 inches). It featured a design of President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse and an eagle landing on the moon on the reverse.
It's a common date, still worth one dollar in circulated condition.
