vin number is on the tube behind the fork tree, I think it is also on the tranny.
Suzuki places the location of the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the Owner and Service manual for each motorcycle manufactured.
The VIN is on the front of the frame behind the front fork. You might have to turn the handlebars to one side or the other to see it.

For the Suzuki Samurai the VIN is pop riveted to the dash on the drivers side, visible from outside the vehicle. I think that location is required of all manufacturers. A second location (on the Samurai, at least) is the right front frame area behind the tire. Check that area for your chassis/VIN number.
