safety switch is located under dash on clutch pedal
the switch is located on the cluch pedel just like a bracke switch
yes, it is a neutral safety switch. When this switch has an open circut, it will not let the car start. The switch should be located under the dash on the top to the cluch pedal.
on top of the trans where the shifter conects if auto. if stick under the dash on the cluch pedel
there is no neutral safety switch on 79 accords. I had 2 of them and I would start it in 1st gear alot when the clutch was stuck engaged. Dave
Bypass the clutch safety switch located under the dashboard. Note that his must entail more than simply unbolting the switch so that the cluch pedal does not actuate it. The safety switch signal is also used by the ECU to signal a clutch-disengaged condition. You will need to keep the switch with its original mechanical actuation by the pedal, but electrically separate the start safety function from the ECU function. Drew
I just changed the relay on my 99 sc2. It is a standard shift and i found the relay by following the wires from the cluch pedal safety switch. But basically on the 99 it is up under the dash on the drivers side taped to the wire harness. It was covered in black electrical tape.
1) exsellerate out 2) cluch in (hold) 3) change gear 4) cluch out 5) ecselerate :D
yes. the cluch position sensor prevents it from starting.
Locate the switch on clutch pedal, unhook it and try to crank it if it does not attemo to crank tie the two wires tgether and grank it. all you are doing is tricking vehicle and making it think the cluch is pressed in, I have done it to my 97 hardbldy. Just use caution because it will try to crank no matter where the shifter is
This is typically caused by a bad seat safety switch. The safety switches are setup so that if the rider falls off the mower it will shut down. That way the rider does not get run over. So, if it senses that there is no one on the seat it will shut down when engaged.
check the slave cylinder for cluch when cold try pumping cluch pedal 4 or 5 times then hold depressed and try to start cylinder is by passing must activate nut switch
look under the dash driver side just above the cluch...that's where it is on my 98
