ECU is probably bad.
Ignition module
Sounds like an electrical problem - maybe coil
I HAVE 2 89 IROCS BOTH WITH 350s,I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.TURNS OUT THE MOTOR GETS VERY HOT AND HEATS UP THE STARTER,WICH THEN SHUTS OFF THE ENGINE.THE FIX?BUY A HIGH PERFOMANCE STARTER FOR ABOUT 200$ OR BUY A 40$ BLANKIT AND WRAP THE STARTER TO PROTECT IT FROM HEAT.I DID ONE ON EACH ONE FIXED!
This may have to do with the fuel filter that resides inside of the fuel tank.My mother had a 1995 Camaro with the exact same problem. You need to drop the fuel tank and change the clogged filter
you do not need to remove the governor off the camaro because the 89's do not have them. they didn't start puting governors on cars until 96.
check for bad crank sensor!!
check for cracks on any vacum lines.
It might be on energy saver mode!
96 olds 88 runs for 20-30minutes shuts off wait 10 minutes starts up
try replacing your fuel filter
Never heard of that. Just run without then as racers do.
Very simple, take out the 21 scews on the bottom of the dash pading and the panel will lift off.
