Try a new starter or ignition.
Probably a stuck relay.
if it starts and stays running you only have to do that to get it cranked its the tps throttle position sensor i had the same thing happen to me
The check engine light comes on at start up for a bulb check. If it stays on with the engine running the computer has detected a malfunction. You need to have it checked for codes.
no it doesnt
Yes it does.
no the gear stays in place , unless you take the timing gear cover off + the bolts that hold it to the cam shaft.no it won't change the position either unless you crank the engine, the gear stays in place.
It is normal for it to run a few seconds after engine shutdown. The pump relay stays energized till the engine oil pressure bleeds off.
Check your electrical system. You probably have a short circuit, melted switch, or ghost(and no I do not mean a creepy spooky ghost) in the system.
ignition switch probably bad. After starting, turn the ignition switch back just enough so your not engaging starter. If it stays running replace switch.
Assuming you mean traction light, have the codes pulled. The codes will lead you to the cause.
yes most Chevy motors are able to be but in any other Chevy u just have to make sure the the intake system stays the same
