It sounds like the fuel pressure is bleeding off thus not enough pressure to open the injectors. After a couple of tries the fuel pump rebuilds the pressure and the engine will then run.
Probably a stuck relay.

My 1990 Chevy celebrity does not have a drain plug on the transmission pan. Your car probably does not have one either. You could break loose a transmission line from the radiator and add fluid in the dipstick tube while the car is running until the color of the transmission fluid clears up. I am guessing you are trying to change the transmission fluid. This is how I changed my transmission fluid there are lots of videos on how to do this on youtube.
On the back side of the composite headlight fixture there are two adjustment screws. One is for the tilt, the other for aiming. Simply turn the appropriate screw until the headlight beams are in the correct alignment.
what is the timing on a chevy 350 It depends on the compression ratio and the quality of the fuel, but 8 degrees before TDC is a good place to start. Then try increasing 1 or 2 degrees at a time until you notice pinging or it's hard to start when hot.
A lot of the time Chevy used aluminum battery cables in their cars,(in particular my 1980) I was continually having starting and battery problems until I replaced the cables with copper.
