my 1990 is doing same thing i dont know whats going on yet? have u figured yours out?
Yes
More than likely there is a speedometer gear on your transmission that has a cable leading to the speedometer. These thiongs go out as they are usually driven from the gears in the tranny via plastic gears in the module. It is not hard to remove-one or two small bolts and it should slide right out. Their also very cheap to buy and replace. Good Luck!
what make a 1990 Chevy. Lumina Car cut off when make a complete stop.
you may need to have the transmission checked, one of the filters maybe blocked, or you plugs may be separating, get those checked too... then again... i could be entirely wrong Check The EGR Valve As above the EGR valve and it's solenoid, or simply just a cracked, loose vacuum line. jr
the idle jet in the carb is blocked and needs to be cleaned out and reset
The Celebrity was replaced by the all-new Lumina.
idle air control valve (iac) could be dirty or clogged.
Sorry, no fuel cut off. If you need to stop fuel flow, you need to unplug the wires at the fuel pump(by fuel tank) then run motor till engine stalls.
the thermostat will make both fans become idle if it is not opening. this happened to me on my 95 3.1 lumina
Could be any number of problems. Low fuel pressure, vacuum leak, bad idle air control valve, throttle stop screw set slightly too low.
Check the relay.
May be a vacuum leak
