check the compression on all cylnders the exhaust valve have stuck on my after sitting for our 2 week vacation put oil in them turn over motor an d recheck comp the n put 2 cycle oil in gas tank
have u checked the fuel filter or pressure if fuel pressure is around 30 or above is not the fuel filter it could be in the injector
A bad spark plug, spark plug wire, distributor cap, rotor, fuel injector, fuel pressure regulator, incorrect fuel pressure, dirty fuel filter, contaminated fuel (water),
There are many factors and way to increase the MPG in your Metro. Tire pressure, timing, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter. I also found this place to be very helpful http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?t=17057
Worn/fouled spark plug(s).Bad spark plug wire(s).Faulty fuel pump.Faulty fuel pressure regulator.Vacuum leak.Faulty fuel injector(s).Contaminated fuel (water).Dirty/plugged fuel filter.
Some possible causes for the engine to sputter: Bad fuel pump not enough pressure Bad fuel injector Bad air filter Bad fuel filter Bad spark plugs or wires
If it burns petrol, it needs a spark to ignite. Diesel, on the other hand, ignites under the pressure and heat, without the aid of a spark. Whether the fuel is delivered by suction through a carburetor or by pressure through an electronic fuel injector is irrelevant.
this is most likely a bad injector. Try a tank of premium gas and Lucas injector cleaner. If it still misses, you probably need to change an injector.
You need to find out if you have injector pulase. if you dont have injector pulase and spark check crank sensor
I would start with changing the spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter. I would also try a couple of bottles of fuel injector cleaner, and dry gas.
It could be tune up related, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor. It could also be a bad fuel injector(s).
Is there spark? Is there fuel pressure? Is there fuel injector pulse? Are fuses good? Is there compression? Is timing correct?
Check for trouble codes. Possible cam or crank sensor.
